I Auditioned For Young Talent Time

Hey did you know............................. I AUDITIONED FOR YOUNG TALENT TIME!
I one day decided I wanted to be on TV and show my talent to the world! There was this new TV show called Young Talent Time. There was also a Young Talent Time around the 1971-1988 staring some famous singers now, like:

  • Tina Arena (1977–83) (longest serving Team Member - 6 Years 6 Months)
  • Bobby Driessen (1979–83) (Jan Driessen)
  • Jodie Loebert (1980–83)
  • Joe(y) Perrone[10] (1980–84) (Guiseppe Aurelio Perrone)
  • Michael Campbell (1981–83) (Michael Jackman)
  • Karen Dunkerton[11] (1981–85)
  • Katie Van Ree[12] (1981–86) (Katie's is short for Katrina).
  • Mark McCormack (1982–83)
  • Dannii Minogue (1982–88) (Danielle Minogue)

But of course I didn't audition for the Young Talent Time back where these people came from. I auditioned for the 2012 Young Talent Time. There were probably 1,000 or more people at the auditorium. I had to perform a song of any choice in front of a JUDGE and a CAMERA MAN (camera is to replay the auditions). I sang UP by Justin Bieber, but after I actually sand the song I found out it wasn't suitable for my voice. WE ALL LEARN FROM MISTAKES!!!

Stay in touch because I will be updating some videos of me singing

Choose your FAV SINGER wisely

When you choose your FAV SINGER you've got to try to listen to the voice of the SINGER! Some people get carried away and only listen to the beat of the music and they don't actually listen to the voice of the singer.

Microphones

Sensitivity.

This is a measure of how much electrical output is produced by a given sound. This is a vital specification if you are trying to record very tiny sounds, such as a turtle snapping its jaw, but should be considered in any situation. If you put an insensitive mic on a quiet instrument, such as an acoustic guitar, you will have to increase the gain of the mixing console, adding noise to the mix. On the other hand, a very sensitive mic on vocals might overload the input electronics of the mixer or tape deck, producing distortion.

Overload characteristics.

Any microphone will produce distortion when it is overdriven by loud sounds. This is caused by varous factors. With a dymanic, the coil may be pulled out of the magnetic field; in a condenser, the internal amplifier might clip. Sustained overdriving or extremely loud sounds can permanently distort the diaphragm, degrading performance at ordinary sound levels. Loud sounds are encountered more often than you might think, especially if you place the mic very close to instruments. (Would you put your ear in the bell of a trumpet?) You usually get a choice between high sensitivity and high overload points, although occasionally there is a switch on the microphone for different situations.

Linearity, or Distortion.

This is the feature that runs up the price of microphones. The distortion characteristics of a mic are determined mostly by the care with which the diaphragm is made and mounted. High volume production methods can turn out an adequate microphone, but the distortion performance will be a matter of luck. Many manufacturers have several model numbers for what is essentially the same device. They build a batch, and then test the mics and charge a premium price for the good ones. The really big names throw away mic capsules that don't meet their standards. (If you buy one Neumann mic, you are paying for five!) CIAO xxx

How To Hit High Notes

Well if your voice cracks it is often a sign that you are maybe going out of your boundaries. However you can overcome this...sometimes. When you are reaching for the top notes physically lift your whole body and even stand on your toes a little bit, give it lots of gusto but make sure you use your diaphragm correctly.  You must also be relaxed and believe you can reach the note, if you doubt yourself often the voice closes itself and the note cracks. Also imagining is good, imagine yourself actually singing the note and then when you are actually singing the note imagine you are in a big theatre and you have to send it upwards so everybody in the gallery can hear. This really works for me, might sound silly but it does work. And just before the note tuck your chin into your chest a little bit, but not so that it is noticeable. Do this while lifting your whole body and it helps to round the note and stops it from cracking. Make sure you rest your voice and if it doesn't want to come out, then you might have to say goodbye to the part because your voice is more important and if you can't get it and you keep trying you might really damage your voice.
